Deaconess was founded in 1892 by a group of Protestant ministers and laymen who felt called to care for the sick. More than 125 years later, Deaconess Health System continues to provide high-quality health care with a compassionate spirit, just as our founders envisioned.
Deaconess Health System is the premier provider of health care services to 26 counties in three states (IN, IL, and KY). The system consists of nine hospitals located in southern Indiana: Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Deaconess Gateway Hospital, The Women’s Hospital, The Heart Hospital, The Orthopedic and Neuroscience Hospital, Deaconess Cross Pointe, Deaconess Gibson Hospital, Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Linda E. White Hospice House. Two hospitals in Kentucky also became part of Deaconess Health System in 2020: Deaconess Henderson Hospital and Deaconess Union County Hospital.
Deaconess Clinic, a fully integrated multi-specialty group featuring primary care physicians as well as top specialty doctors, provides patients with consistent and convenient care. Additional components include a freestanding Cancer Center, Urgent Care facilities, a network of preferred hospitals and doctors, more than 30 care sites, and multiple partnerships with other regional health care providers.
Through its partnership with Meridian, Deaconess has gained a trustworthy partner and advocate. Meridian is responsive, knowledgeable, cost-conscious, and competitive while also delivering a high service and quality level. Deaconess can now refresh technology efficiently and cost-effectively without spending capital, and without variances or surprises to their budget. With Meridian by its side, Deaconess can support patient care needs as cost-effectively as possible and deliver solid financial results for their health system.
I would recommend Meridian to other healthcare companies because I feel like they were very easy to work with, very responsive. And they had a lot of information and helped educate us on making the right decisions.
Deaconess Health System’s mission is to provide quality health care services in their community and maintain state of the art technology in their clinical operations. When selecting a leasing company, Deaconess wasn’t looking for a company that would only provide financing. They wanted a full-service partner, one that in addition to providing competitive financing, could aid in equipment upgrades and provide expertise around vendors, equipment types, and models.
Meridian has helped Deaconess with equipment financing for just about every type of medical equipment including biomedical imaging, IT, surgical, clinical, laboratory, and patient experience. Meridian’s leasing program provides Deaconess with a more predictable and consistent cash flow so they can better manage their budget.
Meridian has also assisted Deaconess with equipment and vendor evaluations, market trends, and competitive pricing analysis. Meridian and Deaconess have worked together through many technology implementation upgrades, replacements, complex migrations, and vendor changes.
With Meridian’s leasing, we have been able to do a better job of refreshing or pulling out technology and fully replacing it, which otherwise would be a very expensive endeavor and would be very hard to budget through the hospital budget process.
